Tool Drag
Category: Browser Automation Β· Tier: Free
Drag an element to a target location. Simulates mouse press, move, and release.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| source | string | Yes | CSS selector for the element to drag |
| target | string | Yes | CSS selector for the drop target |
| force | boolean | No | Drag even when the drag would click a red-zone control |
| _browserToken | string | No | Browser session token |
Example
Drag the task card to the "Done"
column
β drag
source=".task-card:first-child"
target=".column-done"
On success the response is { "success": true, "dragged": "<source>", "droppedOn": "<target>" }.
Red-zone refusal
A drag whose press and release land inside the same red-zone control clicks it, so it is refused unless force is true. The response is a tool error (isError: true) with success: false, tool: "drag", zone: "red", dragged: null, the gate's message, and howToRun naming force: true. On the hosted server a refused call is refunded.
